Our actions have an obvious and direct impact: We provide better working conditions to 701 children

At Paper for All, we have chosen to focus on education as we believe that education is one of the first steps in a person’s awareness of his/her world.

Indeed, the children in Burkina Faso are very keen to learn (some of them walk for hours to go to class) but their working conditions are simply awful because of:

- The heat

- The humidity

- The lack of classroom capacity (90 students barely fit in a classroom for 60)

- And above all the lack of resources which makes it difficult to learn

Example: The majority of children use the notebooks their brothers and sisters used in their time and are therefore forced to write in the margins.

At Paper for All, we decided that we would not allow that, that we would help the children have proper resources to learn.

Our actions are focused to maximize our impact

To maximize our impact, we have also chosen to focus:

- On education (paper and academic resources)

- On a particular country (Burkina Faso)

- On a particular area (Ouagadougou)

- On a particular school (701 pupils with 366 girls and 335 boys).

We then hope to grow to extend these beneficial actions.

Our geographic organisation reflects our vision

Paper for All focuses on the distribution of academic resources in Burkina Faso, Africa.  The funds are collected in the UK and then sent to Burkina Faso to buy the academic resources.  Our map of operations below gives an overview of our structure:

Paper for All is geographically organized, to allow:

- Efficiency in the maintenance of current operations

- Flexibility for future expansion to next countries

Our vision for the organisation

We have big plans for the organisation, but everything rests on your help.

We want to help the children learn and raise their awareness of the world.

We want to help the children be proud of themselves by facilitating their education.

We want to give the children in developing countries the same education conditions as the children in industrialized countries.

In other words, we want to grow the seed to create the tree sheltering the next generation.

This is why we have created this charity, and we are confident the impact we have now will grow with time. As the children grow up, they will be better equipped to help the next generation.

In the future, we would like to extend our actions

- Where we currently target one elementary school (701 pupils), we could be targeting several schools in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso's capital city.

- Where we currently target one country (Burkina Faso), we could be targeting several countries, or even continents.

- Where we focus on education to enable development, we could add other key focus areas such as roads or sanitation where needed.

This is why we need YOUR help.  By helping us, you help shape this vision.

You are the one deciding if this vision can be realised, if the children can recover their pride and learn in the better conditions and grow as a tree sheltering the next generation.

If you would like to see for yourself and teach in Burkina Faso

We would be happy to refer you to the Africa entity and to the academic school if you would like to spend some time in Africa teaching to children.  If it is your first time, you will see that it is a transforming experience.  If it is not, well we understand why you want to repeat it :-).  Please contact us at admin@paper4allcharity.com for more information.
