The huge impact you can have
Every day, Zoe, 6 years old, comes to class, having left her illiterate parents behind, despite their needing her. She comes to class with a smile, as she knows she should be proud to be able to learn how to read and write. She however has to work in daunting learning conditions, with classes of 30 filled with 90 students and no pen or paper to write her lessons. Like many, she will find a half working pen and attempt to write her lessons in the margins of the notebook used by her brothers and sisters before. She might get eventually discouraged, drop out of school and come to her parents, disillusioned and sad to still be considered as illiterate.
This can change. All that is needed is a small boost so as to reward her willingness to learn. All that is needed is a notebook and a pen, so that she can learn in proper conditions and believe in herself. So that she can continue learning at school and be a greater contributor to the development of her own country. So that she can shelter the next generation.
2$, 1.3€ or 1£ = 4-5 notebooks + pens bought = 5 smiles
The low cost of living in Burkina Faso, small size of the non-profit and low overheads (all members acting as volunteers), means that the impact you can have through even a small donation can be very significant.

To allow Paper for All to get the tax back from a UK donation
When making a donation from the UK, please send us an email at admin@paper4all.org if you would like to enable us to get the tax back from the amount donated. The exact text to be copied is:
"I [first and last name], hereby declare that I am a UK tax payer and authorise the charity Paper for All to claim tax back from the government for my donations to date and any future donations I may make
The government supports registered charities through tax gift aids, which allows Paper for All to reclaim the basic-tax rate from the Inland Revenue. This means that Paper for All can claim 28p from the government for every £1 donated. There is no cost for the donator and all that is needed is an email from the donator.
To make a regular donation through Payroll Giving
'Payroll giving' was put in place by the UK government to encourage charity donations. Employees are entitled to have an amount taken off their gross salary each month and given to registered charities. It is a convenient option as the monthly donation can be as low as 1£ before tax. In other words, when you give a charity 1£ before tax, you are in fact paying 70p whereas the charity still gets 1£, the difference being contributed by the government.
To benefit from this option, please contact the payroll department at your company and tell them you would like to set up an automatic transfer through 'Payroll giving' to a charity, stating the name, 'Paper For All', our registration number (No. 11168880) and address (4, Stone Gate Court, Beaumont Park, HD4 5HR Huddersfield, United Kingdom).

Physical donations
We have in the past accepted physical donations, or donations of academic supplies. This was usually possible when the donating organization could also take care of the transport to Burkina Faso through either a container or a shipping company. Please contact us and we will get back to you to let you know how we can incorporate your support within our actions.
