Welcome to Paper for All

Our aim and mission is to support education to enable development
Paper for All is a non-profit/charity registered in Burkina Faso, UK, France and the US that aims to promote knowledge leading to development.  Paper for All focuses on improving children learning conditions by providing academic resources and tutoring to children in one of the most illiterate countries in Africa: Burkina Faso.

One of the premisses behind Paper for All is that education is one of the first steps leading to awareness and development.  This is why we targeted Burkina Faso,  a country with a literacy rate of 24%, one of the lowest in the world (United Nations Development Program, Wikipedia, Unicef, CIA World Fact Book, World Bank, NationMaster, 2008, 2009, 2010 (1)).
How can children acquire knowledge if they do not even have paper and pen to write with?

It is shocking to see some children leave their families, walk hours to come to classes made for 45 when there are 90 students, and then have to write in the margins of the notebooks already used by their brothers and sisters for lack of other means?

By empowering the next generation, Paper for All aims to enable sustainable development.  Our vision is to grow seeds into trees to shelter the next generation
Paper for All exists to answer a clear need: to give children in Burkina Faso better learning conditions. Our focus on learning conditions and on a select number of schools maximizes our impact.  By providing disadvantaged children with academic resources, Paper for all helps them write, learn and build their knowledge and awareness of the world.  Ultimately Paper for All enables them to contribute to the development of their own country.

Because tomorrow is too late...

The situation can improve if learning conditions are enhanced
The situation in some developing countries, such as Burkina Faso, requires that proper children working conditions exist.  Knowledge is a key enabler leading to development and by helping disadvantaged children to learn, we can enable them to contribute to the development of their own country.

Small amounts can make a big difference.  Together, we can support education and enable development.  The low cost of living means that small amounts can have a big impact with 1£/1.5$/1.2 = 5 notebooks + pens bought = 5 smiles.

We are very glad to have you as our visitor as this is a crucial time and we need your energy and continued support to assist the children in Burkina Faso.  We also wish to thank all the individuals and organizations who have supported us, and enabled our development and actions.

Together, we can grow the seeds into trees sheltering the next generation.
