Paper for All helps children learn in better conditions by giving them the academic resources they need. Given the demand for volunteering opportunities, the charity also acts as a liaison between potential volunteers and the Burkina Faso team. Given the small, entrepreneurial nature of Paper for All, the preference is to have the volunteers be autonomous for taking care of transportation, accommodation, visa, vaccines, food and equipment.
There are three types of volunteering and they both target volunteers who want to act as leaders to do the right thing:
1) Volunteering in Burkina Faso for distributions and/or to teach
Do you want to feel the excitement of living in a local community, and helping distribute academic supplies to thousands of children to do the right thing? Paper for All can guide and accompany you in the distribution of resources. In the past, several volunteers from different countries went to Burkina Faso to help Paper for All in this way, either buying and/or distributing resources.
Paper for All also organizes teaching volunteering opportunities. No specific experience is required but a will to make a difference and spend time with the children. This is usually a very thrilling and rewarding activity. You need to have at least 18 years old and be autonomous to teach classes of 90 children aged between 6 and 14 a few hours a day. The spoken language is French.
To facilitate your path as a potential volunteer, Paper for All has created the following documents, which you should read if you want to go to Burkina Faso.
2) Marketing communication and fundraising with Paper for All
We welcome events organized to communication about Paper for all. Feel free to contact us for materials such as pictures, logos, etc. In addition, the ngo can suppot some of these activities.
3) Volunteering to develop Paper for All activities in the world
You can also be a leader in your community by helping to develop Paper for All activities in the world. We currently have teams in France, Burkina Faso and the UK and are in the process of expanding to the US. Please contact us at the below email address if you feel you have the skills to act as a leader and create a Paper for All sub group to help with communication, fundraising and events in your community.
